Observation
Terrestrial-type nitrogen-fixing symbiosis between seagrass and a marine bacterium. In land plants, N2-fixing symbionts occur in a variety of plant lineages and involve an intimate association. But descriptions of such intimate symbioses were lacking for seagrasses.
