Mycoplasma haemomuris (+) Endoparasitism (-) Gerbillus andersoni
Observation
Gerbillus andersoni allenbyi are commonly infected with the Mycoplasma haemomuris-like bacteria, which may cause mild nutrient (choline, arginine) deficiencies. Infected individuals incurred dramatically elevated foraging costs and increased owl predation.
