Cleptoparasitic Triepeolus sp. (+) Broodparasitism (-) Peponapis pruinosa
Observation
Cleptoparasitic species, like Triepeolus, sneak into the nests of other solitary Honeybee & replace the provisioned resident egg with their own. This cuckoo Honeybee was likely looking to parasitise a squash bee (Eucera pruinosa) nest. Shared by: @NigelERaine
