Observation
Bee fly (Bombylius venosus) opening the lamellae of mouthparts to grasp pollen grains from a Ranunculus gramineus flower. This operation takes ~0.15 secs and is invisible to the naked eye, thus the generalized mistake that these flies visit flowers for nectar alone
