Plebejus argus (+) Mutualism (+) Lasius ant sp.
Observation
A Silver-studded Blue emerging from the ants' nest in which it pupated. The Silver-studded Blue has a mutualistic relationship with Lasius ants. The caterpillar produces a sugary liquid from a special gland on its back to attract the ants (and probably also uses chemical signals too).
