Pseudodiploria strigosa (+) Corals (+) Durusdinium spp.
Observation
Researchers found that the urban corals exhibited higher expression of transcripts which may allow these corals to better sense and detect food particles and pathogenic invaders. P. strigosa colonies from urban areas predominantly hosted heat-tolerant endosymbionts from the genus Durusdinium.
