Carnivorous pitcher plants have a mutualistic relationship with malaysian land crab. Carnivorous pitcher plants catch small insects and dead leaves and digests them with enzymes. The malaysian land crab is one of the many animals that help the pitcher plant. They are immune to the enzymes allowing them to scurry in and fish out bugs to eat while their feces fertilizes the plant.
